Happy Valentine's Day With Coke and Posies!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Last night, hubs and I
went to a French restaurant,
in Barrington, IL, called
L'Eiffel Bistrot.
We ordered our ususal,
Coke for me, Diet Coke for him
Lookie how they brought them....

These are the cutest little bottles made out of metal.
They really say Valentine's Day to me!
I asked if I could take them home,
our waitress said that she is asked
this all the time!
*Swoon*

I wanted to make a friend of mine here
a little something for showing me around
our new area.
She made me a list of places
she knew we would need,
like the vet with phone number
and address.
THEN she drove me around to show me
where everything on the list is located!
How sweet is that!?!
She even showed me where
the Bald Eagles fly and fish!
Cannot wait to go back!

This is what I made for her...

A Lavendar heart sachet made from
wool felt and vintage buttons.

I saved this cute envelope from
Anthropologie. (They put my receipt in here
when I ordered online).
Love it!
It's even lined in the prettiest blue!

To dress it up,
I made a cute little posie pin
with vintage button.

This was the first posie
I ever made!
I'm hooked!
So cute, so easy!
*LOVE*

Tonight we are just staying in and relaxing.
I'll watch The Bachelor and hubs
will read his new book.
Emma will cuddle in between us.
We'll eat a chocolate covered
graham cracker from the cutest
little chocolate shop in Barrington.
I will take pics there soon and share!
What a cute store!

I'm linking up...

I'm Still Here and Organizing!

Morning!!! Today is the first morning, since Emma arrived, that I don't have brain fog! Lack of sleep is no fun at all! Luckily she is cute!

Here are a couple of photos from a Valentine package that my sweet friend Angie at Sandals and Daisies sent me! Everything is so sweet and cute! She made me this darling hanging heart, on the back it has my name.

Very cute with some vintage or vintage looking flowers attached.

She sent me some yummy chocolates and a pretty card and also a cute little love bug pin. I love it all...thank you sooo much Angie!!!! (Click to enlarge)

While Emma has been napping, I have been trying to organize some things for my stamp/craft room. I found these sock organizer containers at Target (my favorite store!). I have a feeling that IKEA would have something like this and probably cheaper but the nearest IKEA is over an hour away.

Ribbon, all organized.

Vintage ribbons and bindings, newer ribbon and some scraps. It feels so good to have these all organized.

Today, I feel like I've been really productive : ) One load of laundry done, dishes done, ribbon organized, floor washed...now on to vacuuming and dusting. Fun, fun, fun!!! I even brought some stamps downstairs to work on my birdie swap. Now that will be fun! I only hope I actually have time to start it!
Have a wonderful day!!! Hugs!!! I have missed you!

Valentine's

Yeppers, 2 posts in one day! Did you check out that blouse in my last post??? If I win it, I sure hope it fits...I LOVE IT...so unique! The headband too...I love birds!

I've been working on Valentine's the last 2 days. They are all the same but oh do I like them. The cards are from, you guessed it, the Target Dollar Spot, 8 cards for $1 with envelopes!!! They are really nice and sturdy cards. Then I embellished them with stamps and ribbon. Hope you enjoy (sorry for the poor photos...like I keep saying...I need a new camera!)

The weekend is finally here and my cold is sooo much better today! After I posted yesterday I just felt awful...sore all over and CRANKY and just plain yucky! Whatever bug I had must have hit it's peak but today, I'm tons better! I think this weekend would be a good time for a movie date night. The Oscar's are approaching and I'd like to see at least a couple of the nominated movies before the big event.
Have a great weekend!!! Hugs!

Fun Stuff

Morning! Hope you all are warm and cozy this morning! When I woke up it was -2! I know it much colder west of Michigan though, so I am a bit grateful! I have some photos to share with you this morning. Believe it or not, I actually finished a project! It was quick and easy!

( Before)
This scrapbook paper is from Scrapbook Kit in a Stack the Love and Wedding pack. I found it at Joann's on clearance last week. The heart paperweight is from Target's Dollar Spot. I have seen on other blogs that I'm not the only one with this idea...go to Thoughts that Stick to see more see what Artchick did with hers.

(After)

I used Modge Podge to glue the paper to the back of the heart. Trace the heart on the paper, cut out, apply glue to heart back and let dry. So easy! I am going to make more of these today and show you them in the next few days.

This is one of the gifts I sent to Angie of Sandals and Daisies for our swap over Christmas. The frame was on clearance at Michael's this past fall, the paper is from Stampin' Up and the A is from a small kit at the Dollar Tree. Another quick and easy project.

Just a photo of how I decorated my frame for Christmas. I found the 2 blue ornaments at the hospital gift shop when my dad had his surgery. It looked prettier in person. I need to get photos yet...my plans to go to the ocean at Christmas didn't pan out so maybe this spring at a park instead.

I had a birthday over the holidays (Dec. 22) and these 2 bottles my daughter's (in the photo) boyfriend gave me. He got them to go with my perfume bottle collection.

This cute chicken and rooster potholder set was a birthday gift too. These are from dd's bf's grandma. She is the sweetest lady. I now officially have a rooster kitchen...much to hubbies dismay. He told me it's ok though since I will change the decor in 2 years knowing me anyway. Hehe!
I hope you all have a wonderful day...laundry and more hearts are calling my name and I think I hear the scarf I'm trying to finish chiming in! Hugs!!!
