100 Days!!!!

Until...
DISNEY!!!
We are so excited to go!
We have beyond stressed this year
and this trip is a much needed de-stresser!!!

Today, I am really excited to say
that I booked the Wild Africa Trek
at Disney's Animal Kingdom!!!
It is a 3 hour tour, have a look at the link above.

The highlight of this trek for my husband is
going to be walking on the bridge above these guys!
He cannot wait!

Photo taken at the Animal Kingdom.

This year we are taking the hubs sister along,
she is beyond excited too and she and I
have purchased our safari hats! :-)

Another highlight will be
at Downtown Disney.
Oh the excitement is building!!!

Now when we are 100 days
from moving...
the excitement of another kind
will be building!!!
Disney will take away those thoughts
for  6 whole days!!!

Hope you have something fun to
think about!!!

Have a great day!
Hugs!

Bay Lake Tower at Disney

Hello!
Time to get back to normal
but before that happens...

Here are a few pics of where we stayed at Disney.

This is Bay Lake Tower at Disney's
Contemporary Resort.
This is our home with the Disney Vacation Club.
It's beautiful and oh so roomy!
We had a 2 bedroom that had 3 full baths and a full kitchen!
Our son came down from Oklahoma for the stay.
My parents came for an overnight stay.
We had sooo much room! : )

This is a chandelier in the lobby.
Very pretty!

Here is Mickey.
He's outside of the Contemporary
near the boat ramps.

It was a great stay!
The food is at the Contemporary,
some of the best food we've had at Disney!
They have 2 wonderful gift shops too!
We can, also, grab the monorail for Magic Kingdom
and Epcot from here.

It was a lovely time,
even though the weather could have been better.
At least it was warmer than Chicago!

Now it's time to get back to normal.
Tomorrow I will start crafting again!

Have a great day!
Hugs!

Gingerbread House Disney Style

It's true!
Disney does everything BIG!!!
At the Grand Floridian Resort,
there is a life size gingerbread house.
They even sell gingerbread cookies from inside.
I didn't buy any, they have a big price!

Here are some photos
of the most beautiful
gingerbread house ever!

The detailing is amazing!
On the window to the left
you can see Tinkerbell!

It smells as awesome as it looks!

Gorgeous!

Some of the cookies dangling in the window.

I'd love a real house and porch like this!

Hope you're all having a great day!
I'll be back tomorrow with some Christmas decor.
I'm finally done decorating the apartment.
It looks great!

Hugs!

Home!

We are home from Disney World!!!
It was sunny and 84 when we left.
We came home to snow flurries.
Drove back to Chicago on very slippery roads from Michigan.
We avoided being one of the unlucky many in the ditch or crashed into guardrails.

I will be back to regular blogging soon!
First I need to unpack and decorate the apartment.
Hope you're all enjoying getting ready for the Reason of the Season!

Be back soon...gotta edit some pictures too!

Hugs!

I Saw A Mouse!!!

Yep, I saw a mouse...Mickey Mouse!!! We took a much needed vacation after a most stressful year! (I try to keep all the stress out of my blog but yes it has been a horrible year at our house!) Mickey took the stress away! :-D I LOVE the parade at Magic Kingdom!!!

Mickey!!!
~~~~~
While we were there, Disney World started to celebrate their new princess movie...The Princess and the Frog...WOW what a great celebration on the riverboat! They put on an amazing New Orleans style show! We loved it, especially my dad!
Here she is Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen. The cast of the riverboat show all danced off the boat and down the streets of Magic Kingdom. It was awesome!
~~~~~
So I have had a long time away from crafting and I need to make a list to get things done by Christmas! I think I can, I think I can...LOL!
Hope you all are Celebrating Today! (That's what Disney says to do, so I am trying! Praying for less stress in the coming year!)
Have a great day!

Highlights of Disney

Hello!!! Here are some of my favorites...we had to take most of the pics while on the move. There were way too many people to be able to stop and take a perfect photo or to even enjoy the view for long.

I love the landscaping at the parks.

A pretty view of the Epcot ball...can't remember the official name! Until our trip, I never knew there was a ride inside the ball!

More pretty trees.

My favorite part of Disney. The castle is sooo beautiful!!!

Walking down the mainstreet of Magic Kingdom toward the castle. That's my daughter in the orange. Look at all those people!!!

Cinderella and her prince during the parade. I loved this Christmas parade!

Mickey and Minnie at the parade.

This is a rollercoaster the Everest. My daughter and her bf went on this one.

One of hubby's favorites...gorillas.

The Michigan State football team was at Disney's Blizzard Beach for a friendly game of putt-putt with a Georgia team. They had a bowl game on New Year's Day. I snuck this pic before security could shoo me off. We LOVED Blizzard Beach!
I didn't take as many pics as I wanted because of the crowds but these were some of my favorites. We didn't even get a whole family pic because you just couldn't move. I have a few of individuals and that's all.
Today is a cold and slightly snowy day. Last night there was awful icing on the roads just south of us. It's so sad to hear that 3 people were killed in accidents last night. Be careful out there if you're out and about with all this crazy weather in the U.S.!!!
Have a great day!!! Hugs!

Happy New Year!

Hello!!!

I am finally back! No pics yet but I am back! Who comes home from Disney and has nightmares for days about the place...ME! Our vacation started out with an ice storm on the way to the airport...cars spinning out all over the place. We left very early 9 am so we got to our plane in plenty of time (it was leaving at noon). We got on the plane and sat on the runway for 3 hours. We were flying into Atlanta to get a connector to Florida. Well, first Atlanta was fogged in and then their radar went completely down. Needless to say, we missed our connection. We were put on standby along with over 100 others. Atlanta's airport is HUGE and we had to RUN from one end of the airport to the other with trams in between with every Orlando flight. We did this 5 times and then my hubby was able to fly out at 11 pm to meet our son, who had been waiting in Orlando's airport for 11 hours. So off my daughter, her bf and I run like mad to the next Orlando flight. We were 38, 39, and 40 on the wait list, I was praying we'd get on this flight but it seemed hopeless. Then finally we were the last 3 called, I think they pulled us up because they had 3 seats close together. Hurray, we arrived in Orlando around 12:30 am. We met up with hubby and son who had gotten the rental car.

We got to our condo and it was beautiful! We got a 3 bedroom condo for the price of an Embassy Suite room, not bad. The boys had 2 full sized beds in their room, our daughter had a king sized bed in her room and the master suite had a king sized bed too. We were sooo tired and just crashed.

The next day we went to visit my parents. My dad is still pretty weak but looks good. He's starting to regain his appetite which is really good.

The next 4 days were spent in Disney. Oh my word was it crowded! I expected crowds but the people at Disney said that there were more people than they ever expected. The parks were shut down every day because they were full. It was beautiful in Magic Kingdom with all the Christmas decorations and oh what a wonderful parade! I will show you pics soon! That was my favorite park! We spent New Year's Eve in Epcot and you could hardly move! After dark we walked toward the countries and I fell so hard, just so many people and tripped. No one in my group even noticed. I had to try to find them after I got up. I think I am too old for the crowds and noise!

We are going to go again (hubby and I with my parents) at the end of this year during a quieter time. I know I will enjoy it more then. I am very grateful that we got our whole family together and dd's bf. We did all have a great time despite the crowds. I just know I will enjoy it that much more without the crowds.

After we got home I did have nightmares about the crowds and the darkness of night. Last night, no nightmares so I must be good now. I have slept so much since getting home. Three 20-somethings can wear you out! They have way more energy than me!

I hope you all had wonderful holiday's and happy new years! I missed you all!

(Our dog is doing well right now. The vet said she would be act normal until the cancer starts bleeding again when it returns. I am nervous every morning when I go to check on her. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!)

Back with pics soon!

Hugs!
