Thrifty Find and More Yo-Yo Hats

Hello!
Back in MI, over the weekend, I went to the Salvation Army.
I found this really neat hanging picture frame duo.

I plan to spray paint it turquoise when the weather warms up again.

I love the details.

I, also, found these brand new hats at the Salvation Army.
(I prewashed them)
I decided to add yo-yos to these for Lifebuilders.

I love the color combos!

This is my favorite!
I have one more and I'm going to make it for me,
like this one.

Well, I am off to Michael's.
I need to pick up some supplies for my Gift Exchange (see side bar) partner's gift.

I'm linking up today...

Have a great day!!!

I've Been Crafting and Thrifting!

Morning!!! It's a beautiful day here! Hope you are all are enjoying beautiful weather too!!!

Well, I've been crafting!!! I am working on a Fall Swap package, yo-yo's of course, and pencil holders. I don't think I've told you guys that my daughter has gotten her first teaching job!!! She is an official teacher! She is working in Detroit at a charter school and the past 3 weeks they have been preparing their rooms and doing lesson plans. The students arrive Tuesday and my daughter has the 7/8 grade science classes. She's very excited and so are we!!! Anyways....she asked me to make some bright colored pencil holders for her room. Here they are...

I had an empty baking powder container and a paint can. I have tons of paper and ribbon, so not a problem!

Here they are all done!

Ready to use!
In my quest to re-do the apartment on the cheap and furnish it the same...I found myself at the Salvation Army again. I love that place! Here's what I found...
A pretty baking dish for only $1.50.

I found 3 of these pretty pale blue mini casseroles which were made in France. I wish I could remember the name. These were brand new with the Made in France stickers on them.
These were $2.99 each.

I couldn't get a very good picture of these canisters. They are a much prettier pink than they look here. They are metal and a great size for the pantry. I love them! They were $2.99 each too.
Well, I am off to finish the laundry and do a bit of shopping. Have a wonderful day!!!
Hugs!

A Quick Peek

Good Morning! It's very fall-like this morning! BRRR! It's a beautiful day outside just a bit nippy.
Here is a quick peek at the supplies for my rubber stamp/craft class. I haven't decided which of the fall rubber stamps I will use so they are not shown. I think this project just might turn out the way I hope it will! Sometimes I have something pictured in my head and it just doesn't measure up but this just might ;)
You can find the big plastic clothespin in the Target Dollar Spot :-D (Click to enlarge)

Today I plan to complete this project to use as a sample for class.

Yesterday, I went to the nation's largest Salvation Army and yep it's right near my house! It is 50,000 square feet! I didn't pick anything up because the checkout line went to the back of the store! It was packed with new and used clothes and housewares. I will be going back, needless to say!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!!!

Hugs!

Thank you's and a few new treasures!

Good morning! Thank you to all who stopped by to visit my garden pictures! It was fun seeing all the gardens, what green thumbs you all have! I found a few treasures yesterday at one of the local Salvation Army's. Hope you enjoy!

This shelf I saw in the afternoon yesterday and I told hubby I wanted

it and he looked at me like I was crazy. He doesn't always have

my vision but comes around when he sees the finished project.

I plan on painting it creamy white. So, anyway, I went back last

night and wouldn't you know that their 7:00 special was all wood

furniture 50% off!!! So I got it for only $6.50 not bad! It's really heavy

in great structural shape...just needs some sanding, stripping and paint.

While there last night I found this Avon bowl. It looked too sweet to pass up.

And this little birdie is cuter in person! I love birds!

So not too bad for a day! No luck at the garage sales as of late...mostly baby stuff out there. But I will be trying the flea market this weekend. Hope to find some treasures there!

Have a great day, thanks for stopping by! Happy treasure hunting!

Treasure's from last week

Good afternoon! Here are the promised pictures from last week's treasure hunt at the local Salvation Army's. The pictures aren't the greatest...I need a better system.

These pretty snack plates are Cera-Stone.
The pattern is Clear Day and they are by Jonas Roberts.
Tuesday was 50% off yellow tags and these had a yellow tag!!
So instead of $20 for a complete set of 4 they were $10.
I am not usually a blue person but these caught my eye
and I have been wanting snack plates similar to these
(where there is the indent for the mug). I have already
served lunch on them! We had Italian Chicken Pasta Salad
and melon. The melon was served in the mugs instead drinks.

This deviled egg plate also had a yellow tag so

my price was only $2. The punch mugs I bought to

serve bit-sized desserts in...like the ones you can get

at Logan's Roadhouse, Apple Bee's and the like. They were only 79 cents

each and I got 8 of these.

I guess that's all for today! There may be some treasure hunting later this weekend. If not, I will post some photos of treasures I found in Oklahoma, while visiting my son.

Happy treasure hunting!
