Picture on Canvas = Room Redo

Morning!!! It's a beautiful day today!!! I'm so glad but tomorrow the storms will arrive. I will take what I can get right now as far as good days go!

I took this photo of my Gerbera Daisy a week or so ago. I just love it! I thought it would look great on canvas. I found a place online that is offering 40% off right now. My dilemma is...I don't really have these colors in my house. BUT I sure do love them! I'm thinking it's time to redo the dining room...this would be the least expensive room to redo...and it would really brighten it up! What color walls do you think??? I am so bad at picking paint colors! HELP!!!

I hope you all are having a great day!!! I am off to the grocery store and I will take the girls out to play in the sunshine later!

Hugs!
Kim

Hi Kim!
That Gerbera Daisy is gorgeous! I'm not the greatest with colors, either. However, I do know that if you have a small space that you're wanting to paint, lighter colors will make it appear larger; darker colors will make it seem smaller. Hope that helps a little! Enjoy your nice, warm sunshine!

Very pretty! Daisies are my favorite flower. One day I'll get brave enough to try and plant/grow some of my own.
That looks like it's a reddish color. What colors really "appeal" to you. I like yellows, soft buttery yellows. I like how it can blend with virtually any other color you decide to use to compliment it. Yellow "energizes". Do you like yellow? It could be a color option.

You know I love red ;) What a beautiful picture. It's like the colors of a sunset.

I have to tell you that my family will love your suggestion of the flamingo in the garden. I've always sort of had a thing against them (don't know why) and they are always threatening that a bunch will show up in my yard!

Hope you are having a great day!
Hugs,
Kim

Hey girlie!

Well...you already know how I feel about daisies. :-) The most beautiful flower in the world I think! Hmmmm..having not seen your room, I am not sure how big it is...cause that matters. If you want a cozy feeling, a chocolate brown or taupey brown would be so nice...for a more open and bright feeling..a buttery yellow or golden hue with hints of orange in it...I love picking paint colors! Heck..I will just come there and help ya! :-) I will use any excuse to shop..I tell ya...lol. Also, an easy way to change the room without painting is match the curtain fabric to the art piece..way less work.

Hope you are outta your funk. I was worried about ya, chica!

I love your picture! I just took one of my gerber daisy this weekend. What a great idea having it printed on canvas!

I am no good with the colors either. I know just how you feel. I'm sure whatever color you choose the picture will look lovely.

take care,
Dawn

Hi Kim!! I have been a terrible blogging friend--I just haven't had time to keep up with visits. SOOOOO, I just caught up on your recent posts!

Your Emma is getting HUGE and cuter each time I see her. Such good news about Cocoa--I hope her days are filled with sunshine and dog treats.

I know the flamingo is flexing her wings, getting ready to guard your pumpkin crop again!!

Congrats to your daughter and her recent graduation. The teaching profession will welcome her with open arms. It's so great that she's getting grad. school out of the way before she starts working full time.

I'm not a color person, so I'm no help for you in choosing wall color, but I agree---that lovely photo is certainly an inspiration for decorating!

Hope you're feeling well. Dana

I absolutely LOVE that picture of the gerbera daisy. I love the flower and I love the colour! Those are my colours...yum!
I'm wondering what colours you do have in your home?

I think it would lovely in a room with just that right colour of yellow. You could take the picture into a paint store where someone could help you choose a colour degree from the flower. You can punch up the room by accessorizing with the orangey/reddy colour in a vase, plant container, placemats etc.

I can't wait to see what you decide to do.

Hi Kim,

Wow- that would be stunning in your dining room. I'm thinking red or maybe a warm yellow. I'm on the fence too!

Congrats to your daughter. I know how proud you are of her and she should be very proud of her accomplishments also.

hugs,
Barb
