Dishing It

Photobucket

~Do you have any specific traditions that your family looks forward to each Christmas?

Yep, for us it's stockings on Christmas Eve
followed by the kids giving mom and dad
their gifts to them.
One more big one...
cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning!

~Is your tree real or fake?

We have 2 fake trees.
Back in MI,
one would go in the living room,
the other in the dining room.
Here in IL,
we put the dining room tree in our living room.

~Do you have any favorite ornaments?

I love the ones with the kids pictures.
I love nature ornaments.
I think I love all ornaments!

~What's your favorite Christmas treat?

I have 2...
homemade caramel corn and
homemade cinnamon rolls.
Mmmmm.

~Best Christmas gift you ever received?

I don't think I have a favorite.
I try to enjoy them all every year.
~Coolest crafty thing you made or home decor thing you tried this Christmas season?

I really love my button tree!

~Your favorite Christmas movie?

Hmmm...
I like to watch a bunch of them.
I don't have a fave.
I watch them on ABC FAMILY and Lifetime.

~Most difficult person you have to buy for?

That would be my mother-in-law.

~What's the number one thing on your kids'/husband's/wife's/significant other's list this year?

On hubby's list is a new home.
He's very ready to move on to non-apartment living again.

~If Santa could bring you one big surprise this year, what would you want it to be?

An AccuQuilt fabric cutter.

There you have it!
Join in the fun!

Have a blessed holiday season!!!
Hugs!
Kim

I love your button tree too!

I didn't put up a tree this year but still managed to make the house look festive. My fav ornaments are the ones the kids have made for me over the years. Funny how quickly that time passes *sob*.

Have a fantastic Christmas Kim. Thank you for your bloggy friendship and I'll see you in the New Year.

Me too! Me too! I also love your button tree!

Sounds like you've recently moved to Illinois from Michigan. We lived in Michigan when my kids were little--such a beautiful state (except January-April!). We still have many friends there, although everyone has felt the sting of the downturn in the economy. Hope you and your family are doing well!

Homemade caramel corn sounds so very good. What a great tradition! My mom makes cinnamon rolls every year for our Christmas brunch. Yum! I hope your hubby gets his wish to be back in a house.

Mmmm, we do cinnamon rolls Christmas morning too. Only cinnamon rolls are one of the items I can't seem to make from scratch so we usually get them from Cinnabon. I love your button tree!

I am going out for the day/evening. I will be back to answer your questions. But my favorite treat has to be gingerbread and thumb print cookies, or maybe peppermint bark, no it's egg nog! You get the idea, I love them all!
I am not sure if my first comment went through, so if it did just delete one!

I may have to copy your button tree...love it! The kids have a snow day today, and you've made me want to make caramel corn with them this afternoon.
Thanks for stopping by my blog, and have a very merry Christmas!

Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. Comments make me squeal with delight. =)

You have such lovely Christmas decor.

I super really love that first picture. Seeing just a bit of your tree in the background makes it so appealing.

Merry Christmas!

Let me see I always make breads and muffins for breakfast. We can't have the tv on while we open presents, we listen to Christmas music. We have a real tree, the fake tree was tossed in the spring. I don't have a favorite ornament. I am pretty sure I love all the Christmas treats! I told my daughter last night I love the Pier One faux fur throw my girls bought me two years ago, that would be a favorite gift. I use it every night! I would say the coolest thing I made this year was the gingerbread men! I always try to watch "It's a Wonderful Life". I watch too many! Most difficult person to buy for is my husband. No special gifts this year for anyone. I think we all have way too much! A surprise gift? Let me think, a stand mixer maybe? I gave my old one to my daughter. Wow, that is exciting!
