Saturday pumpkin update, over 1000 visits to my blog and my first giveaway!!!

Hello everyone! Here is the Saturday pumpkin update....every Saturday I have been tracking the growth of our first pumpkin. This week it has really grown! We have had hot and humid weather and these pumpkins seem to LOVE it! My hubby was teasing me this morning...asking when we were going to get the nasty letter from the Home Owners Association. I told him they can't say anything because there is nothing in the bylaws about gardens...then my DD chimes in "yeah, but does it say anything about having a farm?" Sheesh! They won't be teasing me when fall comes and we have lots of pumpkins that only cost a couple dollars!

"The Farm"...looks more impressive when you're up close...lol!

When I started this blog, I had no idea I would get over 1000 hits so quickly!!! And my plan was to have a giveaway at 1000 hits!!! Well today I hit that goal! Thank you to all my blog world friends for stopping by and leaving me such awesome comments, encouragement and blogging advice! I enjoy reading each and every comment and try to send a note to thank you! So to further thank you...it is time for my first giveaway!!! Monday I will post a picture of the giveaway (sorry no time this weekend...family coming in tomorrow from out of state). All you need to do is leave a comment on this post and on Saturday, July 26 I will draw the lucky winner!!! YAY!!!

Have a great weekend!!! Oh and I have some treasures to show you on Monday too!!! Hugs and happy treasure hunting!!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. My apologies if this come through twice. Blogger and dialup internet don't always get along. I've enjoyed looking at your garden pics and at your thrifting finds. That is one of my "favoritest" things to look at on blogs. There is something so vicariously fun about seeing what others find, maybe because I enjoy such good finds myself.

Now thats a pumpkin!! I am getting so exicited for fall. It's one of my favorites to decorate for. Now if I could only come and pick a pumpkin from your garden in the fall... That would be so much fun! I love the green and whites ones so much now... Thank you for stopping by and picking up a sweet birdie tassel. I will have it to you soon. Thanks again and congrats on the 1000th... Cant wait to see what goodies you have on Monday! Take care my sweet friend! Susie h~

Hi Kim, THanks for visiting:>) Yes, I am in southeast Michigan, Oakland County. There are quite a few other Michigan bloggers too. I have planted pumpkins but got them in late so they don't even have pumkins on them yet, just vines! Hopefully they didnt get planted too late!

Actually, I thought I had left a comment on this post, Kim, cuz I remember reading it! Sometimes I think I write it, hit preview, look at it, then leave without hitting publish. Duh. Anyway! Your punkin is gettin huge--I think you are looking at the possiblity of a really nice roadside stand this fall! Yes, more spending money!! I envision your stand filled we sweet punkins and your flamingo holding a sign that says: PUNKINS FOR SALE!

PLEASE enter me in your giveaway! Thank you! Dana

How fun to have pumpkins growing for fall! I love your "Pumpkin Saturday"! Your thrifting time was profitable - and oh my gosh - those are wildflowers from your creek! I need to MOVE! It looks like this is a happy summer! Hugs, Patti

I've just been catching up on your last several posts and decided to leave my comment here. GREAT thriftin' finds! I LOVE the chicken planter and I REALLY LOVE the wildflowers from your creek. I'm afraid we can't even come close to anything that beautiful here at "the creek", although I've got a vase full of fresh Queen Anne's Lace on my table right now.

Blessings!
