What I've Been Up To

Hi everyone! I am finally feeling better! I have had a rough go with allergies, bronchitis and fibromyalgia along many other life things.

Tomorrow is my daughter's last bridal shower. This one is hostessed by the groom's mom. I'm super excited! I made her a wall hanging of their wedding date, using the seat numbers at the Detroit Tiger's Comerica Park. She and her fiance are huge fans, as are we. Here is a picture:

Along with all the wedding prep, we've been busy trying to transition our things to Chicago. I think a couple more trips will do it. Since the apartment is tiny, we will leave the vast majority of our things here. It's just taking a lot of time sorting through everything and deciding whether to bring it, leave it or donate it.

Two weeks ago, we made a quick trip to Collierville, TN to visit the hubby's sister. It was a lot of fun and stressful. The stress comes in because we are in the process of getting a diagnosis for my mother in law, she is showing signs of early stage Alzheimer's. I am no stranger to this disease, my grandmother lived with us for a while when she was first diagnosed. We visited a very nice Alzheimer's adult day care, she's not ready for this but they were able to talk to us about what is going on and they've pretty much confirmed our suspicions but the symptoms could still be caused by other things. We just need to get a doctor confirmation which is extremely difficult when the person is uncooperative. We should know more this summer/fall.

Hubby has been in Switzerland this week for work. I feel like our life is a complete whirlwind right now. I'm starting to have a hard time keeping up!

(Why does blogger mess up my spacing!?!)

Hello

Believe it or not....I'm still here! I have been sick going on 4 weeks now. The shower was beautiful...can't wait to edit the photos to show you. The wedding is only less than 12 weeks away and is keeping me busy nearly everyday. We are working on the final guest list, getting addresses and working on the invitation wording among many other small things.

When I am finally feeling better and have a minute to edit pictures I PROMISE to show you!!! Thanks to everyone who is sticking with me!!!!

Shower prizes

I found these cute jars at IKEA (sorry no before picture). The lids have a raised handle on them and a tied some pretty ribbon to coordinate with the shower/wedding colors. These are the prizes for one of the games. I will do a post on the game soon...it's really cute and fun. I will be filling these jars with orange M & M's...yum!

Quick and easy!

The two taller jars are for a different game but there will be orange M & M's in them too.

I cannot believe how fast Saturday is coming. I'm off to finish the game to go with these jars. I will take pics and do a post...you may want to use this game!

Believe it or not I'm still here...

Hello! I AM still here...just been so completely busy! Life has taken over leaving no time to blog. I am still working on my daughter's bridal shower which is only 8 days away! Here are some pics of the favors...

Some Fun...

I saw this over at Michelle's blog today and thought it was fun. So...I thought I'd go with the flow...

I am...taking a break from making bridal shower prizes.

I think...today feels like a long day.

I should...be taking Emma outside but there is an incident in the apartment building hallway.

I dream...lately of being on vacation!

I want...the world to be a better place.

I know...that God is always with me.

I don't like...being an anxious person.

I smell...Mexican food 24 hours a day in our apartment building.

I usually...have a plan for the day.

I hear...the incident in the hallway and my upstairs neighbor's music.

I fear...being alone one day.

I search...many things, everyday online.

I miss...my kids.

I always...cuddle up in a blanket while I watch tv, all year round.

I regret...lots of things but that's how we learn.

I wonder...if my house will ever sell for a reasonable price.

I crave...lately...Krispy Kreme's glazed donuts.

I remember...taking my kids to the zoo when the weather started getting nice.

I forgot...that I need to order some things when I get back to MI.

I can...take Emma for her walk soon...it's quiet again.

I can't...decide what to have for dinner.

I am happy...that my daughter's bridal shower is really coming together nicely.

I lose...my sunglasses all the time!

I sing...mostly when I'm alone.

I listen...to not a lot of music...I prefer quiet.

I shop...at Target and Marshall's, mostly.

I eat...oodles of spicy food when I'm in Chicago.

I love...my family.
