Sad Kitty

My kitty, Abby is having the hardest time adjusting to our new home. I haven't slept a night through since we arrived.  She cries almost all night long. Last night she did better but she is still having issues. She uses her box, thank goodness but now she cries to be fed. She has her food which she has always loved but now refuses to eat. Yesterday, she settled for hot dog, but not today. I guess I will pick up a couple of cans of cat food tonight and see if she'll eat that. I hope she will end up eating her own food soon. When I Google cat issues with moving they say it can take a cat a looooong time. If she decides to never like it here we may take her back home to be with my daughter and her cat. Maybe she just misses them. I don't know what else to do.

Hope you're all doing well!

Hugs!
Kim

Oh,no! Ain't nobody happy when kitty ain't happy! They do love to share their feelings, don't they? I don't know what to tell you. Is she missing her favorite chair to sleep in? Or her space at the window? Was she allowed to go out at the other house? There are so many little things that any hormonal being can obsess on. Poor baby....I know her being unhappy is making you unhappy, as well---and you aren't ready to give her up. What's to say she would be happy back there without you? She may be just as upset without you!

Oh, your poor kitty. That is so sad. I hope she adjusts soon.

About a year ago I moved to a different apartment within the same complex. I take my cat Charlie out for a walk on a leash every night, and after we had been in the new apartment for a few weeks I walked him back to the old one thinking it would help him get his bearings. He immediately started scratching frantically at the door and crying to go inside. I felt terrible for taking him there, but had no idea he would react like that.

I have heard the saying "we are all creatures of habit", and I guess you have a creature that does not like it's habits intefered with. Hopefully, everyday will be better!

Hi Kim,
Thanks for stopping by. My goodness, you've had a very eventful Summer. Looks like the Wedding went off without a hitch. Your daughter is beautiful in all her pics. You're right...the planning is So Much Fun! : )
I was sorry to hear of your cousin's daughter. I will say a prayer for that little family to have the strength to face the challenges ahead. I'm sure God can lighten their burdens.
Take care,
Mary Lou

Hi Kim,
Long time, no see. I have had some major issues with blogger but finally got them resolved and hope to be a more faithful blogger.
So sorry about your Kitty. Maybe she will adjust. It took mine a while to adjust when we made our move a few years ago. But now she is happy as a lark,,or uh,,Kitty.
Stop in and visit.

I hope your cat is doing better and that you are finding all sorts of fun things to do in Chicago. I have heard the shopping is great downtown!
Have a wonderful weekend!
