YUCK!!! And Some Pretties

Edited
*Please pray for my DD and her BF, a very close friend of theirs passed away at 7:30 this morning from Melanoma, he was only 30 . Thanks you so much!*

Morning!!! First the yuck....WHY do brown recluse spiders like MY house!?! I am certainly NOT welcoming them in! I found one in the dining room curtain and my tummy turned and the goose bumps popped! I HATE spiders...I am TERRIFIED!!!! This is the second one this summer in my house that I have had to kill by MYSELF! I sure hope my muslin curtains survived the spider spray! I could NOT bring myself to smash it in fear that it would run me down! I had hubby on the phone and spray in the other hand...screaming my head off as the ugly thing ran across the sill and back onto the curtain!!! Now I only hope that DD's BF will come to extricate the body because I WILL NOT go near it dead or alive!!!! YUCK, YUCK, YUCK!!!!!!!

Enough of the YUCK!!!! How about some pretty? Here are some fall decorations and a pretty tassel hung so pretty!

I cannot remember who posted about these cute little pumpkins from the Dollar Tree!!! How cute are these!?! I love them!!!
Pretty tassel that I purchased from Susie Harris at Bienvenue. Guess what she is having a sale!!! So if you'd like a pretty tassel all your own, head on over to Susie's! The tassel is hanging on a pretty frame from Michael's...it was on clearance...yay!!! No photos in it yet...we are taking photos at the ocean in Florida this December.

More of those cute little pumpkins from the Dollar Tree.

It is really feeling like fall this morning!! Very chilly! The weeping willows across the way are turning yellow and a maple tree down the street is red already! Loving the cooler weather! Hope you all enjoy your day!!! Hugs!!!

Wish I had been close by. I would have helped you with the spider. Love your punkins! What will you do with all of them?

You poor thing. I HATE spiders. Rather have a snake in the house than a spider. It's that time of year too. Ick! I once collided with a black widow and it ended up in my mouth. Long story but I was traumatized for quite a while. I so feel your pain.

Love the pumpkins. I am going to have to stop by and get some of those. Hope they haven't been bought up by all us blogger gals! :)

Wow. I just went to the Dollar Tree and I sure did spend some dollars there. I'm the same way about bugs and spiders. You will here me screaming "CHRISSSSS!" (Hubby's name). I think I've passed it on to my kiddies. DADDDY! BUG! SPIDER!

Kim, my condolences to your dd and bf.

As for the spider, it's totally acceptable to wait for your daughter's boyfriend to do the dirty work. I recently had my 14-year old son "get" a daddy long legs for me. :o)

First of all, I am praying for your family and the family of the close friend. So young!

I am not a spider fan at all. When I was a kid, if a spider was found in the house, my dad would actually carry it outside and turn it loose.
I am not at that point!

I am going over to check out the tassels. So lovely.

Boy, have your pumpkins grown from the first pictures. Definitely a sign of fall.

hugs,
Barb

I could have helped you with that spider. That is probably one of the few things I am not afraid of.
I love those little pumpkins. We don't have a dollar tree around here, but I'm going to hit Michael's this week and see if I can't find some little pumpkins like those. They are darling. I'm jealous you have such cool temps this morning. We are all ready at 82 with a 100 high predicted with lots of humidity. Ugh! I'm so ready for summer to end and Fall to be here :0). I'm also starting to pull out my Autumn decor. It makes me feel better and reminds me that we've only another six weeks or so of heat. We usually start the cool down mid October.
Well, I hope you have a fantastic day. I'm off to beinvenue to check out the tassles.

I totally agree with the spiders! I refuse to kill them, go near them dead or a live and feel that is part of dh's job.

Love the pumpkins! I have seen so many cute falls things but have no where to put them while we move. Perhaps it will still be fall when we move.

I'm glad you found the spider, I have had one of their bites, it is awful!

eeeeeeek! I hate those little varments too!! I think I read that EVERY house has several of them---does that make you feel better? :-) No? I'm sorry. :-(
Your pumpkins, tassle and frame are great---I can see you are READY for fall! dana

Wendy @ Ramblings from the Sunshine State said...

I know how you feel! But I dont think I would have been able to actually kill it. I guess maybe with the spray, but no way am I getting close enough to it to smush it!!

I think fall is coming earlier this year. It has been down right chilly the last couple of mornings.

My house is always full of spiders!! We all kill them equally here! My daughter is terrified of them too. I was over the other day and she had me kill one while she was across the room screaming!

I'm sorry to read about your DD's and her BF's friend. Thirty is too young! My thoughts are with them.

take care,
Dawn

I was always afraid of spiders until I grew up and daddy wasn't there to get them for me. I had to learn to get them myself, but I don't have to like it!!
Love your touches of fall; I'm ready to decorate for autumn too!
So sorry about your daughter's friend. My dad died of melanoma; it is such a horrible disease. My thoughts and prayers are with them.

Kim I am so sory about DD and BF friend, that is so sad . Unfortunately cancer is no respecter of age . And melanoma is nothing to play around with. My dad had it.They thought they got it all, but I believe it just traveled somewhere else in his body because it eventually got him.

You better be careful with those spiders. We are finding scorpions. We live on the edge of a forest and they are coming in for winter guess.DH is going to spray all around the outside of the house to ward them off.
Your little pumpkins are too cute !

I'd have gotten that spider for you!!! My fear is mice. They serve no good purpose. Spiders belong in the garden where they eat damaging bugs......
I guess I better get to Dollar Tree this weekend! The punkins are sooooo cute.

Love the little pumpkins! They haven't made their way to my dollar tree yet, just the paperish ones. It was tassel Suzie that had those on her blog!

Yucky...we have had terrible round with Brown Recluse spiders this summer. I understand!

Hi Kim,

I was going to notify you of the award today but spent all day in the bed with some kind of stomach thing. Glad you found it when you visited today.

Sorry to hear about your family friend. That is so sad! My prayers are with you all.

Love the little pumpkins, especially the white one. Envious of your fall temps, though it's not been too bad today here in Alabama. I love the fall and spring and sometimes we don't get too much of either.

As for the spider, I would have killed it for you. My phobias are closed in spaces and heights.

So sad about your daughter's friend!!
I don't like spiders either, I hate it when my husband isn't home, and I have to get the darn thing.
I love that the weather is feeling like Fall!! My favorite time of year.
