Such Sweet Grandma's and a Couple Treasures!!!

Morning!!! Hope you all are enjoying your Monday! Last night my daughter brought me a couple of surprises from BF's sweet grandma's! I was so surprised! I know both of these sweet ladies and I'm so thrilled that they love my daughter! Grandma O was at the Antique Roadshow with BF's parents. While out and about she found this sweet amber pitcher and thought of me and how it would go nicely with my amber depression glass! Wasn't that sweet !?! Then Grandma Arlene sent home some homegrown peaches! (A sure sign of fall in Macomb County!) She, also, sent home a nice jar of peach jam! Yummy! My daughter asked me to cut up the peaches and here they are. They are delsih!!! The casserole they are in is from my thrift store expedition last week...only $2.50 and the rooster from the same day...25 cents.

Thank you Grandma O and Grandma Arlene! You are the best!
Have a great day!
Hugs!
Kim

Kim, your grandma's must be the best. It is a treasure to have your grandmas to love and be close to. We moved away from mine when I was nine. I never had a chance to be close to them. I try so hard to be a grandma that shows my love to my grandchildren even though we do not live close to them anymore.

The picture is so sweet and the peaches are divine. I love your bargains too.

I don't know if I thanked you for your sweet comments and visits to my posts. I love to read the comments so very much.. I also love to visit back, but I am behind because we have been gone for five days. I'm still trying to catch up with pink Sat. sigh.

Take care, Jeanne

Lucky gal. Love the pitcher. Also, the casserole and the rooster. Good finds. I collect the old dishes like that- mostly the old pyrex. I collect it and use it! That stuff is the best.

We had fresh peaches on Saturday night. My husband likes them over vanilla ice cream.

Yuuummm! I've not had any peaches yet this year. That is making me want some! I love them fresh, but not really that much once cooked. I've been on a diet, though, so a peach cobbler like my Grandma used to make sounds really good right now.

What sweet ladies to send you those goodies! We just got some peaches in South Haven on our trip, blueberries too! Yummy :)

Oh, you know I heart that pitcher!!!! I collect pitchers and I don't have anything like that--really cute. It would be so nice to have Grannies around---that's why I try to be a good one. They all seem to love to come here and we think that we are helping to make good memories......
Peaches are awesome. Try my fruit
crisp/cobbler recipe #124 on Parker's General. It is awesome with peaches and peach Jello.

Morning Kim! O I love that little pitcher and the rooster for $.25!!! I love peaches. The last one's I purchased were starting to go over ripe and I kept thinking what a shame there were bushels of them not selling; such a waste!! These look perfect though; now I need to go find some breakfast! Busy day, my brother-in-law is coming to visit for weekend and I've done nothing around here!Yikes Have a great day-Sincerely, Jeannette
