Award and This and That

Morning!!! I want to thank Jill at Jill's Junk to Jewels for this award!!! You are too sweet Jill! I am not sure I deserve this award but I am humbled to receive it! I am going to offer this award to all the blogs I read every day! You all inspire me to create, decorate, cook and on and on!!!

I want to thank everyone who has been praying for my daughter's friend and his friends and family. She and her bf will miss him sooo much but know he is now in heaven with the Lord he loves so much! He was a true inspiration to all!

I think I am off to the thrift store now and to Walmart for some groceries for the long holiday weekend! I'm so excited...hubby will be home early on Friday and won't have to leave again until Tuesday, later in the day! We are going to a Detroit Tiger's game on Saturday, the apple orchard on Sunday with DD's BF and his family then back here for an end of summer bbq, then on Monday we are headed to Caseville to visit my parents and to do some treasure hunting with the metal detector! I will post a picture of my metal detector treasure! (HEHE...nails, bolts and change!)

Hope you are having a wonderful day! Hugs!
Kim

Kim,
I am definitely keeping your dd and her bf in my prayers. It is so hard to lose someone like that and so young. I pray his family is doing okay- as okay as they can be.

Sounds like you have a nice holiday weekend planned. We are going to Busch Gardens Williamsburg tomorrow and then I plan to be in for most of the weekend...cooking, cleaning, relaxing, moving stuff around :) General nesting.

Can't wait to see pics from the metal detecting. I've always wanted to do that. I bet we could find some good stuff around my old store!

Hugs,
Kim

Congrats on your award! you certainly deserve it! How nice of you to pass it on! :) I have one for you at my blog, so come over when you can. I am so sorry for your daughter and her friend's family that passed away!

Love your little pumpkins from DT! Our's still has not put any out...and I check OFTEN! LOL! They probably think I am crazy or shoplifting...walking in and out about every day, without buying anything! LOL! ~Rhonda

Hi Kim, your daughter and friend's family will be in my prayers. It's so sad for us in this world to have to give up one so young. But it's marvelous the assurance we'll meet again one day!

I scrolled on down and I have some of those little Dollar Tree pumkins too! Aren't they sweet? It was our tassel gal, Susie, who told me about it!!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Hi Kim,
Sounds like you have a nice long weekend planned. Enjoy! I'll be working on my cards and stuff to resale at the booth. Friday we are going to have my son over for his 29th birthday ! Those "babies" sure grow quickly :) Take care.

Yes, you certainly DO deserve the award!

I'm getting in the mood for fall decorations too, but I have no earthly idea where mine are, so I'll have to rely on nature to do my decorating for me.

We'll definitely be praying for your daughter and the family of the friend they lost.

I got to spend 10 whole minutes in a local thrift store on Tuesday while my hubby was at the hardware store! I spent a whole 90 cents, but I got enough of a fix to last me for a little while!

Hope you have an absolutely wonderful weekend. Can't wait to see what treasures you dig up!

Blessings from the creek!

Liz

Family and treasure hunting? Doesn't get beter than that. I've never found a thing that was good with a metal detector - not a thing! And I'm always sooooo excited and hopeful each time I try it. I've heard that lots of old antique marbles can be found under the porches of old farmhouses... bet other stuff fell through the cracks of those porches too. Now that would be a good place to drag our metal detectors... First we have to find an abandoned old farm house...
