Baby Shower Quilt and Card

Morning!!! I am so glad that the sun is out today! We have had some gloomy, bone chilling weather here. Hope fall is treating you well!

Here is the picture of the quilt my daughter made for a baby shower tonight. She did a good job for her first one. It's not top quilted but more of a comforter, I guess. Sorry for the picture quality, I took these last night and it was very dark. (Click to enlarge the pictures)

And here is the card I made to go with the quilt. It's a simple one but matches well.

Not much going on today. I really want to make some more cards. The one above is much prettier in person...I really need a better camera...some day! I, also, need to get to the yo-yo's again. I need to take pics of a few finished bags that are Christmas or birthday gifts. All of a sudden I feel like the holidays are in a hurry to get here! October came sooo fast! Speaking of which, I still need to put up a few outdoor decorations. I guess I had better get busy!

Have a great day everyone! Hugs!!

Kim

Hi Kim! Your daughter did an excellent job with her first project! I'm impressed and I love the different color combos not your typical baby colors! The card is perfect! What a lucky mom-to-be receiving this gift! I'm so frustrated with my pictures I'm ready to scream! You go through all this work for a post and then you think its gonna be good quality and you post and Yuck!Lol I mean mine not yours!!!!They look fine to me! Sounds like you are setting yourself up for overwhelm! I know what you mean about the holidays seem to be creeping faster. Where did September go???? Well enjoy your weekend and have a great time whatever you end up doing! Sincerely, Jeannette

I hate when you take a picture of something you made and it just lacks something!!
Have a great weekend !

Hi Kim,
I agree that the quilt is lovely and the card so sweet. It is a wonderful gift:)
I'm tired of working on cards...having second thoughts on the craft show, but did pay..maybe I just need a little break and look at magazines to get some ideas. Yes, get your fall stuff up and lets see them:)
Warmly,
Deb

Wow, your daughter did an amazing job making that beautiful quilt! The card you made is simply adorable :) (I should tell you I still have all but one of the cards you sent me...they're just so pretty and I'm being stingy 'cause I don't want to give them away!!!!)

Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Blessings to you!

The little quilt is so sweet--yes, your daughter did a great job! So did YOU on that cute little card!!! It's cooler here, but not cold. We're supposed to start getting rain and colder weather as the week goes on! Dana

What a great team you two are! Can't wait to do things like this with my girls! One lives too far away, and the other is too tiny :)!

Your daughter did an amazing job on the quilt. It is beautiful! I just know the Mom-to-be will love it. And of course your card is wonderful. The ones I won in your giveaway are so pretty. It will have to be someone really special before I'm going to consider giving one away.
