A Blogland Purchase and Birthday/Christmas Peeks

Good afternoon!!! I have been busy working away on yo-yo projects for upcoming birthdays and Christmas gifts. Like I keep saying, they are so quick and easy. Very good project to work on while watching the Olympics! I, also, got a package in the mail that I had ordered. I ordered a body scrub from The French Elements. Barb at The French Elements is so sweet...she included a free bonus scrub! I haven't tried it yet but the one I ordered got a wonderful review...check out Barb's blog to link to the review! I can't decide whether to keep it for me or use it for a gift...I bet I keep it for me! :-D

Here are the photos!!! (Remember you can click to enlarge them.)

Oh so cute packaging and a sweet card from Barb!!!

A peek at a canvas bag I trimmed out with yo-yo's (and it may get an applique) for my SIL for Christmas. She has a dog who she just loves...so goes the doggy themed bag! She can use it to pack up her doggy's toys and things for trips. Plese excuse the kitty hair...Cypher was trying really hard to be in this picture!

This is a lavendar cotton bag that I purchased at Cheaptotes.com. I am trimming this one out with yo-yo's too. It is for a friend's birthday. I will use it as a useable gift bag. Haven't decided what to fill it with yet. This bag still needs it's buttons.

Well I am trying to find some energy to head out for errands. Don't know why I am so sleepy today! Hope you are all having great days!

Hugs!

Kim

  17. KIM!!! Thanks for posting this. I love yo-yo's. Once I took a man's suit vest - actually a boy's so it would be small enough for me - and covered the front with velvet yo-yo's of different rich colors to wear with my jeans. Liked it so much, I made another with yo-yo's from men's ties. Now, I'm wondering what I did with them... I might like to wear those again this winter. Looks great with white boy's dress shirt and glitzy cufflinks- I let the tails of the shirt hang out and wore beaded belts to gather up the shirt. I really liked that look. Glad you posted this and made me remember...

  18. Hi! I love the yo-yo's you're trimming that bag with. They don't look easy to make to me. I guessing you are very good at making them and can do it with your eyes closed. I think they're beautiful!
